UCP PISTOIA AUSTENCARE - MEDICAL CENTER
The UCP Austencare-Medical Center in Pistoia is a reference center for the diagnosis and treatment of coloproctological and pelvic floor pathology.
The coordinator of the UCP is Dr. Augustine Joannes Nwanajuobi IROATULAM, Head of the Proctology Service of the San Jacopo Hospital in Pistoia, which belongs to the U. Or General Surgery of the San Jacopo Hospital in Pistoia.
Dr. Augustine J.N. Iroatulam is a freelancer at Didomi Medical Center, Pistoia, home of UCP Pistoia Astencare-Medical Center, and is a Colorectal Surgeon - Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Founder of the Nigerian Society for Colorectal Disorders (NSCRD), he is particularly dedicated to proctological surgery with minimally invasive techniques. Active member of numerous scientific societies such as the Italian Society of Surgery (SIC), the Association of Italian Hospital Surgeons (ACOI) and the Italian Unitary Society of Coloproctology (SIUCP-ETS)
The UCP Pistoia Austencare-Medical Center, with users from all over Italy, has particular experience in the diagnosis and treatment of the following pathologies:
• Hemorrhoidal prolapse: conservative interventions such as prolassectomy with stapler, elastic ligation, in addition to traditional hemorrhoidectomy, also performed under local anesthesia and in Day Surgery
• Mucosal and complete rectal prolapse with transanal and abdominal techniques: Prolassectomy with stapler, Delorme technique, Altemeier sec intervention.
• Perianal fistula: treatment with the EMLEFT technique, LIFT, rectal flaps.
• Sinus pilonidalis: minimally invasive treatment, Minimal Access Sinus Debridement and drainage plus Antibiotics
• Fecal incontinence: anal sphincter plasty, rehabilitation treatments with biofeedback.
• Treatment of complex pelvic organ prolapse in a multidisciplinary/multiprofessional transversal team in collaboration with the team of the Gynecology Department of San Jacopo Hospital, pelvic floor rehabilitation.
• Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases in collaboration with George Washington University Hospital, Washington DC and with Cleveland Clinic Florida, Weston Florida, USA.
• Treatment of anal and rectal neoplasms in the early phase with a transanal approach through interventions with TransAnal Minimally Invasive Surgery (T.A.M.I.S.) microsurgical techniques in collaboration with the San Jacopo Hospital in Pistoia.
• Treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.
